The International Journal of Arts, Humanities and Social Studies (IJAHSS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and originality in scholarly publishing. All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening as part of the initial editorial assessment to ensure that the work is original and complies with internationally recognized publication ethics, including the recommendations of COPE and ICMJE.
The journal uses Turnitin to evaluate the originality of all submitted manuscripts. Authors are required to submit a Turnitin Similarity Report along with their manuscript at the time of submission. The Editorial Office will independently verify the similarity report and may conduct additional plagiarism checks during the editorial or peer-review process whenever necessary.
The similarity assessment considers both the overall similarity index and the nature of the matched content. Editorial decisions are based on qualitative evaluation rather than similarity percentage alone. Properly cited quotations, references, standard methodological descriptions, and legally reusable content may be excluded from consideration, while evidence of plagiarism, excessive text overlap, duplicate publication, self-plagiarism, or unattributed use of another person's work may result in the manuscript being returned for revision, rejected, or subjected to further ethical investigation.
If plagiarism or other forms of publication misconduct are identified before or after publication, the journal reserves the right to reject the manuscript, suspend the editorial process, publish corrections or retractions, and take appropriate action in accordance with COPE guidelines. Authors are solely responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism before submission.
