Upon submission, manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the Managing Editor to assess their relevance to the journal’s scope, compliance with submission guidelines, originality, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s requirements may be returned to the authors before peer review.
Eligible manuscripts are assigned to an Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor, or Guest Editor with expertise relevant to the manuscript’s subject area. The assigned editor supervises the peer-review process and ensures a fair and objective evaluation.
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts. In cases where reviewer recommendations differ substantially, a third reviewer may be invited. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, publication record, subject expertise, and absence of conflicts of interest.
After considering the reviewers’ reports, the assigned editor may recommend one of the following decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject. The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or the designated Academic Editor.
Authors receiving revision requests are required to address reviewer comments and submit a revised version of the manuscript. Normally, no more than two rounds of major revisions are permitted before a final decision is reached.
Following acceptance, manuscripts enter the production stage, which includes copyediting, language editing, proofreading, formatting, and final quality checks. Accepted articles are published online immediately after completion of the production process and are subsequently assigned to the appropriate journal issue.
The Editor-in-Chief provides academic leadership and oversees the overall development of the journal. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for defining editorial policies, maintaining publication quality, supervising editorial activities, ensuring compliance with ethical standards, and making final decisions regarding manuscript publication.
Associate Editors assist the Editor-in-Chief in managing manuscripts, selecting reviewers, evaluating reviewer reports, supporting journal development initiatives, and ensuring the timely completion of the peer-review process.
Editorial Board Members contribute to the journal by reviewing manuscripts, recommending qualified reviewers, advising on journal development, promoting the journal within academic communities, and supporting special issue initiatives.
Guest Editors manage Special Issues by defining the issue’s scope, inviting submissions, coordinating peer review, making editorial recommendations, and promoting the Special Issue within relevant scholarly communities.
