Data Availability and Reproducibility Policy

The Global Journal of Dental Specialty (GJDS) is committed to promoting transparency, research integrity, and reproducibility in scientific publishing. The journal encourages authors to make the data, materials, software, and methodologies underlying their research available whenever possible to facilitate verification, replication, and further scientific advancement. We believe that citing research datasets through standard reference lists provides a reliable and accessible means of supporting reproducible research.

Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to:

  • Deposit research datasets in recognized public or institutional repositories whenever appropriate.

  • Include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript describing where and how the supporting data can be accessed.

  • Ensure that shared datasets are complete, accurate, and sufficiently documented to enable reuse and verification.

  • Clearly state any legal, ethical, privacy, or confidentiality restrictions if data cannot be publicly shared.

Data Citation

Datasets that contribute directly to the research findings should be formally cited in the manuscript's reference list using accepted citation standards. Data citations should include sufficient information to identify, locate, and access the dataset, including persistent identifiers such as DOIs where available.

Reproducibility

To support reproducible research, authors should provide adequate methodological details, analytical procedures, software information, and statistical approaches necessary for other researchers to replicate the study. Where applicable, authors are encouraged to share source code, protocols, supplementary materials, and computational workflows used in the research.

Editorial Assessment

The editorial team and peer reviewers may assess the availability and adequacy of supporting research data during the review process. Authors may be requested to provide additional data, documentation, or clarification if necessary to verify the validity of the reported findings.

By encouraging responsible data sharing and proper data citation, the Global Journal of Dental Specialty (GJDS) seeks to enhance the reliability, transparency, and reproducibility of published research while respecting ethical, legal, and participant confidentiality requirements.
