The International Journal of Arts, Humanities and Social Studies (IJAHSS) encourages authors to share the research data, materials, and supporting information underlying their published work whenever appropriate. Data sharing promotes transparency, reproducibility, research integrity, and the advancement of scholarly knowledge while enabling other researchers to validate, replicate, and build upon published findings.
Authors are encouraged to:
Share the data supporting the results reported in their manuscripts.
Make datasets available through recognized public or institutional repositories, where appropriate.
Ensure that shared data are accurate, complete, and sufficiently documented for reuse.
Provide information on how readers can access the underlying research data.
Authors are encouraged to include a Data Availability Statement within their manuscript indicating:
Whether the research data are publicly available.
The name of the repository where the data are deposited.
Persistent identifiers (such as DOI or accession numbers), where applicable.
Conditions for accessing restricted or confidential data, if any.
Reasons why data cannot be shared, where justified.
Where appropriate, authors are encouraged to share:
Research datasets.
Survey instruments and questionnaires.
Interview guides.
Statistical analysis files.
Coding frameworks.
Supplementary tables and figures.
Software code or scripts used in the analysis.
Other materials necessary to support the published findings.
Data sharing should not compromise:
Participant privacy or confidentiality.
Personal or sensitive information.
Intellectual property rights.
Contractual or legal obligations.
National or institutional regulations governing data protection.
Authors should ensure that any shared data have been appropriately anonymized where required.
During the editorial process, the journal may:
Request clarification regarding the availability of supporting data.
Encourage authors to provide additional datasets or supplementary materials when necessary.
Verify that data availability statements are consistent with the manuscript.
The journal does not routinely require authors to submit raw data but may request access where necessary to evaluate the integrity or validity of the research.
Sharing research data contributes to:
Greater transparency and research integrity.
Improved reproducibility of published studies.
Increased collaboration among researchers.
Enhanced visibility and impact of published research.
Greater confidence in published findings.
Advancement of scientific and scholarly knowledge.
The journal supports internationally recognized best practices for research transparency and encourages data sharing in accordance with:
ICMJE Recommendations.
COPE Core Practices.
FAIR Data Principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable), where applicable.
Institutional, funding agency, and disciplinary requirements.
