Prison literature is the collection of testimonies which report the conditions of detention of prisoners. These are infallibly conditions which represent a staging of horrors and suffering, resistance and resignations take over. This article examines the impact of the prison experience on the narrative in the novel “Cette aveuglante absence de lumière” by Taher Ben Jelloun.
