Contributions of Internal School Quality Assurance Teams Towards Improving Academic Performance In Primary Schools In Singida Municipal

Abstract

ISQAT enables teachers and pupils to adhere learning behaviors-in school process. However, the contribution of ISQAT towards academic performance depends on the effectiveness of its operations. It is necessary to examine the connection between ISQAT operations with the improvement of academic performance. Therefore, this study investigated the contributions of ISQAT towards improving academic performance in public primary schools. Employing case study design, the study sampled 50 respondents from Singida Municipal. The study revealed that ISQAT plays important roles in improving teaching methodologies, improvement of teacher’s accountability and improvement of school selfevaluation.
